Do you believe in Jesus?

This is something that just popped in my head one day as I was on the road, so I was like I got to share this.

But when talking with people every single day pretty much every person, if they’re not an atheist, they have heard of Jesus and most of the time they say they believe in Jesus. I used to think that if you believe in Jesus, then you are good to go, you don’t need to witness to that person, because they already believe in Jesus, so then you are off the hook, and they are already good!

But unfortunately that’s not quite how it works, James says even the devils believe and tremble. When Jesus seen the deman possessed man, the demons knew exactly who Jesus was, and what He was about and what He was going to do in the future.

But let’s take this a step further, so Christians or so-called Christians I should say, say they believe in Jesus, and they believe Jesus is the son of God, and they believe Jesus rose again from the dead! But then they don’t believe He’s coming back, or they don’t believe Jesus is the only way, or some other phony crap like that.

I’m going to do a little take on Simon says here, but let’s do it with what Jesus says.

  • Jesus says: “I am the way I am the truth. I am the life, No one comes to the father except through me!“ (John 14:6)

  • Jesus says: “Do not call anyone teacher, or father or rabbi“ (Matthew 23:8-10, 1 John 2:27)

  • Jesus says: “I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and take you where I am,” (John 14:2-3)

  • Jesus says: “I will keep you from the wrath to come” (Revelation 3:10)

  • Jesus says: “It is better to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35)

  • Jesus says: “If you love me, you will do what I say” (John 14:15)

  • Jesus says: “Love one another as I have loved you“ (John 15:12)

  • Jesus says: “You will know them by their fruits“ (Matthew 7:15-20)

  • Jesus says: “You will know that they are my followers because they have love one for another“ (John 13:35)

  • Jesus says: “Seek, and you will find, ask, and you will receive” (Matthew 7:7)

  • Jesus says: “You must be born again“ (John 3:1-21)

  • Jesus says: “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you“ (Luke 6:27-28)

  • Jesus says: “When I return, will I find any faith?“ (Luke 18:8)

  • Jesus says: “If you know the truth, the truth will set you free“ (John 8:31-32)

  • Jesus says: “Only a few will make it to heaven” (Matthew 7:13-14)

  • Jesus says: “Broad is the way that leads to destruction” (Matthew 7:13-14)

  • Jesus says: “Things will get worst. And worst not better” (Matthew 24:10-20)

  • Jesus says: “Look up because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28)

  • Jesus says: “Before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58)

  • Jesus says: “Watch out” (Mark 13:5)

  • Jesus says: “Do not worry” (Matthew 6:25-34)

  • Jesus says: “Don’t let anyone deceive you” (Matthew 24:4)

  • Jesus says: “False teachers will arise using His name” (Matthew 7:15-29, Matthew 24:11)

I could go on and on with this, but my point is this. Do you believe what Jesus says?

Do you believe the Bible is the word of God? If so you have to remember then, that not only are the words in red are what Jesus said, I even made a little rime there that's awesome. But seriously folks, if the Word became flesh and dwelt among us like the Bible says, (John 1:14) then that means that everything spoken by God in the Bible is from Jesus and is exactly what He said, Jesus said “I and the Father are One” and He does not say anything on His own but what the Father tells him to say. (John 8:42 - John 10:30 - John 12:49 - John 14:10 - John 17:8)

So I'll ask this again do we believe what Jesus says?

Jesus says: that he loves us more than his own life! (John 3:16) and people love this verse and believe it, its probably the most quoted bible verse in history besides "thou shout not judge" (Matthew 7:1-2)

But everybody agrees with (John 3:16), I mean who wouldn't? People say "Jesus is all about love, so oh yeah man, I love Jesus and we love everyone!" But when Jesus says He is the only way to heaven (John 14:6 - Matthew 7:13)

  • Or “I am the Messiah” John 10:11)

  • Or “I and the Father are One” (John 10:30)

  • Or “If your not for me, your against me” (Matthew 12:30)

All of the sudden people say “oh, he didn’t really say that, now you’re just making stuff up, God is spiritual, so you have to spiritualize everything he says, or you know it’s all metaphor”.

Or better yet, they will say “Jesus didn't actually mean this, he just meant that he is one of the ways to heaven and if you're on the path with Jesus and you go to “church”, go by the standards of the church, go by these life principles, do this and do that while you're on the road with Jesus then you will be good to go.”

The truth is, people do not want to hear the truth, they love to be following man-made rules and feeling secure and safe, because they are a part of the crowd and they can feel like they have a set guideline to go by, and they will be good to go!

It could just be that us foolish humans want to be our own God, and we cannot imagine the fact that Jesus is above everything else in our life when you’re following Jesus, there is no room for another god in our life if we are a Jesus follower, remember Jesus also said You will have to hate your family in comparison to the way you love Jesus in order to be his follower. Jesus has to be the center of your life, Jesus is the only way to heaven, Jesus is the only thing that matters, the only reason we’re here on this earth is because of Jesus, Jesus is the only King we are allowed to serve, and remember this, you’re either serving Jesus or you’re serving Satan, like it or not, it’s that simple!

It’s like this If you do not believe what Jesus says, then you’re actually believing what Satan is telling you with his deceit, what did Satan first lie about?

Satan started this way back at the beginning in the garden, he asked Eve "did God really say that?" (Genesis 3:1-7)

This has been going on forever folks, another good example of this in the Bible is when Jesus said that he was the bread that came down from heaven, (John 6:43-71) most all his followers left him because they figured this is not what he meant or it was too hard to understand, or maybe they thought he was just a fool! This still goes on the same exact way today. Even when Jesus was here, He said He did not come to the people who think they are righteous but He came to save the people that know they were sinners (Luke 5:31-32)

I mean the Bible says Jesus hung out with the tax collectors and other sinners  (Luke 15:1-2 and many other times) and the religious people hated Him for this and other reasons, remember it was the Pharisees and Sadducees And the Bible scholars of the day that actually had Him killed, the reason being is just like Jack Nicholson says "they can't handle the truth!

The truth is the truth, if it wasn’t truth Jesus wouldn't call it the truth, but unfortunately we do what our president says "we are confusing the truth with the facts" lol

  • The Bible says: that faults teachers will arise and deceive many, they will say that there is another way to heaven, they will preach a different Jesus. (Jeremiah 14:14 - Jeremiah 23 - Matthew 7:15-23 - Matthew 24:11 - Romans 16:17-18 - 2 Corinthians 11:13-15  - Galatians 1:6-9, -  Acts 20:29 - 1 Timothy 4:1 - 1 Timothy 6:3 - 5,  - 1 Thessalonians 5:21 - Titus 1:10 - Ephesians 5:6-13,  - 1 John 2:26-27 - 1 John 4:1 2 John 1:10 - 11, - 2 Peter 2:1-3 - Jude 1:4)

  • Jesus says in revelation that people will seek for deeper truths, "depths of Satan actually" (Revelations 2:24)

  • The Bible says: that people will teach one other peoples itching ears want to hear, they will tell people that it's about an experience or a revelation from God or from an angel of heaven. (Jeremiah 29:8-9, - 2 Timothy 4:3)

  • The Bible says: cursed is anyone that preaches a different Jesus than what they had already preached. (Galatians 1:8)

  • The Bible also says: that in the last days people will act religious but lack the power that could make them godly. (2 Timothy 3:5)

  • Jesus says: that people will do mighty miracles in his name, and he will tell them, get away from me I never knew you! (Matthew 7:21-23)

  • The Bible also says: “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ” (Colossians 2:8-10)

  • Jesus says: “Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father. And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah. The greatest among you must be a servant.“ (Matthew 23:8-11)

  • The Bible says “You have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.” (1 John 2:27)

But do we believe this? Do we believe what the Bible actually says?

Or do we believe what other people tell us that the Bible says? So many so-called Christians out there are seeking these deeper truths, they have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus of the Bible, it's all about a Jesus with an experience.

  • The Bible says: that the Holy Spirit landed on Jesus like a dove. (Matthew 3:16, - Mark 1:10,- Luke 3:22, - John 1:32)

Notice folks that it does not say the Holy Spirit drop down from heaven like a ton of bricks, forcibly knocked Jesus on his back, and then suddenly he started kicking and screaming in rage, and then jumped up and ran around the room screaming gibberish like a pagan fool at the top of his lungs. Well maybe it does, here in (1 Pentecostal 3:16)

No, no no! This is a man-made religion and totally crap, and you cannot find it in the Bible, you might can find one verse somewhere that almost sounds like it could possibly mean something close to something like or maybe would be along those lines that might back it up, but it's always taken out of context when this happens.

Bottom Line

If we believe the whole Bible is the inspired word of God then I suggest we start reading the Bible, a lot of people will read the Bible, but they miss a very crucial point, and that's when you start in genesis and you finish in revelation you don't end, you have to start over, and you keep doing this for the rest of your life until Jesus calls you home.

But I'll end with this here, if you believe (John 3:16) you also have to believe (John 14:6). Jesus said he is the only way the only truth and the only life, no one comes to the father except through Jesus.

Do you actually know Jesus? And do you actually put your faith in Jesus and for what he has done for you? Or do you have to add man-made rules regulations, traditions and religious beliefs and principles to your life in order for you to feel free and be right with God?

Jesus is King of kings and Lord of all lords, He is the one who was, the one who is, and the one who is still to come.

My question is to everyone, Do you actually truly know Him?

Until next time and from now on may the good Lord bless you!
