A Shot to Glory
Listen to the song here: “A Shot to Glory“
Today is September 11, 2025. Most of us remember the tragedy of terrorism in 2001. I would have been 6 years old.
Growing up, it was always that we blamed Osama bin Laden. Until I got older and started to see how much evil and corruption we have in this country, and especially in our own government. It’s sad that someone out there makes money on war, that’s all I can say about that.
But this article is about a different tragedy of terrorism that happened September 10, 2025. I’m sure you know the name Charlie Kirk, and if not, go look him up. This man stood for Christ, freedom, and truth. And sad enough, a terrorist couldn’t handle hearing the truth and decided to do the unthinkable.
Why the title terrorist?
“a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.”
That is the definition of terrorist.
This is a short letter to the terrorist who did this.
Dear child of God who is made in His image,
I am so sorry that what you heard Kirk say enraged you so much that you felt like this was the only way to deal with your emotions. Or, I am sorry that someone who hired you up to this felt like this was the only way to deal with their emotions. Because we don’t know the whole story and might not ever uncover it all.
But to whomever’s fault this is, I am sorry you allowed Satan and his demons into your life to lead you to do such a horrible thing as ending a human life on earth. Because what you got mad at something called the truth, and we all know the truth is Jesus.
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – Jesus
And Jesus is nothing but love. Let me ask you: if you don’t think our God is real, and that Jesus came to die for you and me, and that the things Kirk said were wrong, then why murder him?
If anything, do you know you’ve now made his message spread even more, and all of his points ring even more true? All he wanted to do was to teach Christ, freedom, and truth. And you live in fricken America, which was founded on ALL of that. If you don’t like that, then you should have left for another country.
But I want you to know I am praying for you. I am praying that you are found and punished as you should be. But I am also praying that before your life is over, you accept Christ into your life and give your heart to Jesus. It is never too late.
I know you’re probably watching social media right now, and there are groups of “Christians” saying f&$@ you and how they want your head. And I’m sorry, that’s not right. Because here’s the kicker: I am just as bad and guilty with sin as you are. No, I’ve never murdered anyone, but I have hated someone in the past, and in God’s eyes, it’s the same. Sin is the same in God’s eyes. But I have been forgiven and have the Holy Spirit living in me, guiding me to do the right thing.
But here is the kicker I will end with: you did not kill Kirk. You released him from his earthly shell and he entered eternity with God. And he is much happier now.
I feel like if God told Charlie, “If you go tomorrow to this rally you’re going to die,” he would have still gone. He knew the dangers, yet he was still bold for Christ and spreading the truth. What a legend he has left behind.
“Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.” – Jesus
If Charlie taught us anything, it was to be bold for Christ and to stand for truth.
Do not let this event set fear into your hearts!
Do not let the enemy win with fear!
Do not go silent about Christ!
BE BOLD!
STAND FOR CHRIST!
I know it’s hard. The first thing I thought of after mourning for Charlie’s family was, “This could be my husband or me.” My husband is bold for Christ and talks to all of his clients about Christ. It honestly turns my stomach to think of what has happened and what could happen. But then I have to remind myself, God said this was going to happen. And you agree to this when you make the commitment to Christ.
And I would rather die for Christ than live for Satan.
So take a deep breath today. Pick up God’s word and go have some alone time with Him. Pray for Charlie’s wife Erika and his two children. Pray that his children grow up to love Christ and not turn from Him because of what has happened. Pray for comfort and healing.
Pray for each other. Do not let the enemy use this to divide us even more. Use this to come together to strengthen the true church (the people).
“All death can do to the believer is deliver him to Jesus.” – Charlie Kirk
